Writing your position paper

A Position Paper is an official document delivering your represented party’s policy on the topic that is to be discussed in your respective committees. This paper shall include three main objectives:

  1. Brief introduction to the relation between your state and the emerging issues
  2. General breakdown of your state’s policy on the topic discussed – it usually contains background information relevant to your stance, and evidence supporting your arguments
  3. Proposed solutions to resolve the matter (which may include your country’s successful past actions in mitigating the problem).

On the top of the page, you shall also state the name of the committee you will be debating in, the full name of the state/organization you are representing, and the topic on your Agenda.
